I want to go skiing in Europe, I would like to know which are the best and how they stack up to the Canadian rockies. Also, I would also like to know which resorts have good night life, because skiing without drinking is not fun.

Burton’s poaching program states that two of the resorts are on federal forest land. Which ones are these? Please give me a source.

I know it is NOT a generalization. But I have seen plenty of those mid-age skiers are pretty rude to snowboarders at ski resorts. They ski around like they should be the only people on the slopes. Of course, there are snowboarders out there that are not considered to others. But most of the snowboarders that I have seen in CA (at least) are fairly nice. Snowboarders pay just as much at the resort and deserve to be there.

This will be my 1st time skiing in North America (I’m from Brazil, we usually go to Chile and Argentina), so I want to be 100% sure I made a good choice.

What are the ski resorts that are sure to be open by early December?

Thanks!!!
For those who’re saying my question is too broad: I live in Brazil, so ANYWHERE in North America is an option for me.
Since I can only go in early December, I’m aware most of the ski stations will be opening - or still closed.
I’m counting with your expertise to help me out! Thanks for you help!

My wife and I and our 6 yr old are planning a trip for early december to go skiing and play in the snow. We’d probably pick Utah, Colorado or Tahoe…But any others will do as well. I know that some Mountain areas have more severe weather than others and was wondering which ones tend to be the less severe as we are not used to the cold weather.

I am looking for a large percentage of beginner runs for the kids, and an overall nice and relaxed environment, with no big crowds. I am looking to go in January. Also looking for a resort with lack of boarders.
